4.5 for Berry Curve

At last been able to get 4.5, and it doesn't look like its beta. This is a pic from a mates phone. Will upload to Berry tonight and will give feedback soon :-).

Screenshot update

Looks like our favourite freeware Screenshot has got an update to 3.01. It now has support for camera key on N-series devices. Tried camera key on my E90 but doesn't work :-(. Hopefully newer version which is also available but unsigned might support E90 camera key. If you are an avid blogger or want to take screen shots of your symbian device ie s60 or uiq then this is the app for you. Nokia PC Phone updated

Looks like the Nokia PC Phone application has had a major update, this is the 4th update for the application and its gone from many known issues to a few issues, so should be pretty stable. Opera Mini 4.1

And just when we thought that little awesome java browser couldnt get better we got 4.1 beta. Its 50% faster and allows you to download and uploade files to web, handset dependant. To get on your device head on over to www.operamini.com/beta .

Blackberry Connect on E51

After logging onto Blackberry connect page on Nokia's business software page I was quiet amazed to find that the Nokia E51 has no Blackberry connect software link. So after googling bb connect for E51, I was taken to trusty old Blackberry forums where they said if you get the version for the E90 it would work, more specifically you must get v7.45.1 and it would work. So I downloaded it and hey presto I have BB Connect back up and running. All I can say about this E51 is that its awesome fast in everything, including going from one mail to another it opens it in half a sec, where on E90 it sook sometimes 3 seconds. To get the BB connect software go tp www.businesssoftware.com, select Blackberry connect and select e90. Download the client and install and in a few seconds you will be enjoying Blackberry email :-)

Nokia E51

Well I finally got a demo E51 to use for a few weeks. I love my E90 but at times its just too damn big. What I like about E51 is its similar to E90 in the sense of ram and processing power. Its small, sleek and stinking fast. Could be fast as still virgin device, what I meen about that is I havent installed my 1400000000 apps and ten tons of data. Will do that over next few days and drop my E90 for 2 weeks and see if the E51 will be a worthy contender. Just one thing I find puzzeling is no Blackberry connect software????? For an E-series device I find this weird. But will check the forums and see if maybe out soon. Check back soon for a review.

Shozu For Berry

I was catching up on my rss feeds and saw an article from BlackberryCool (www.blackberrycool.com) about Shozu (www.shozu.com) being available for Berry. I use Shozu daily on my E90 and would love to have it running on my Berry. We will have to wait a while as when you log on to thier site they still dont have Berry listed. Hopefully this will be rectified soon :-).

Joikuspot update
